Man, you go away for a week and everybody decides to email you. Which is good. I like emails. I’m still going through Mopar Nats (days 1, 2, 3) and Bonneville photos, but thought I’d at least get some miscellaneous auto-related links out there.

First, are you confused by the terms donk, box and bubble? No longer. Cardomain.com spells it out for you and predicts 30-inch wheels on full-size GM cars soon…

For the first time since I started here at Hemmings, I won’t be attending the Glenmoor Gathering in my native Ohioioioioio. Which is too bad, because David Schultz, who organizes the concours, said he rounded up a 1928 Toro golf course tractor and a Ford Model AA school bus just for me.

Speaking of concourses, I had the privilege of viewing the featured car for the Utah Concours late last week – DeWayne Ashmead’s 1932 Auburn Speedster. An excellent car, down to the nuts and bolts.

Adolphus pointed this link my way. Yes, I’m a closet computer nerd. No, I haven’t modded any of my desktops into an automotive theme just yet. But I have some ideas. This guy took his love of Boss Mustangs to the next level.

It’s a heck of a way to promote your new online shop, but sofa.com wants to put one of its customers in the record books as copilot of the world’s fastest sofa. No, I did not see any sofas tearing up the salt at Bonneville.

Finally, a couple of good ideas that I’ll be paying more attention to in the near future. Wikicars.org recently launched – hopefully the amassed info at wikipedia.org will migrate there. And car-chatter.com, a website all about automotive blogs. Look – we’re right up there next to Edmund’s!

Alright, alright. I’m working on those Bonneville photos.
